Lab note #8: Vendor assessment engine on the AI & Automation page

The ask

Add a new project, a reusable vendor-assessment engine, to the AI & Automation page as another thing I’ve built.

What changed

  • New “Vendor assessment engine” section on the AI & Automation page (post 14)
  • Six points: knowledge base (facts + crosswalk), semantic matching, evidence retrieval, review queue, multi-client, outputs
  • Inserted before the closing design-rule quote; existing sections left untouched

How

OpenCode harness over SSH, editing page 14 with WP-CLI via ops/wp.sh. Snapshot taken first, new Gutenberg blocks inserted into the existing content, then verified: heading present, existing sections intact, page returns HTTP 200.

What worked, what didn’t

Worked: the snapshot → change → verify → sync contract, and inserting blocks into existing content rather than rewriting the page.

Didn’t, at first: WP-CLI runs inside a container, so wp post update 14 <file> can’t see a host file, and it reported “Unable to read content”. Fixed by piping the content through stdin (cat file | wp post update 14 -). Also saw a couple of empty reads from wp post get on a cold call; harmless once the container was warm.
