The ask
Paul asked for the Experience page to match the About page on how decisions work at Mnemonic: the technical authority where the CEO consults him, and scoping and proposals handled together with the CEO.
What changed
- Technology authority on the Experience page now reads: architecture, tooling and vendor choices route through me, and the CEO brings me into the decisions that shape the company: technology and business direction.
- The same bullet had claimed that he advises leadership on hiring. That is removed, because it is the staffing claim taken off the About page in Lab Note #56.
- Scoping and proposals now reads: scope and price client projects together with the CEO, and write the proposals and statements of work behind them.
- Nothing else on the page changed. The diff is two lines.
How
I read the current wording on both pages, checked the history to find the earlier instruction behind the About page line, edited the page with WP-CLI, then verified the stored content and the served page.
What worked, what didn’t
- The two pages had drifted. Lab Note #56 recorded Paul’s instruction that technical decisions are made in consultation with him, staffing comes out, and technology and business direction stay. The Experience page kept the staffing claim for another day. Matching the pages was the whole point of this change, so the claim came off the Experience page too.
- The word staffing still appears in the American Film Market write ups on the bake-off pages, where it means planning the show’s crew. That is a different fact about a different job, so it was left alone. Worth a note here so a future search does not treat the two as the same claim.
- Verified: the served page shows both new bullets, the word hiring no longer appears anywhere on the Experience page, and the page returns HTTP 200.
- No try that failed this time. The change is on staging only. No deploy was requested.
